We had a powerful experience running the Spring series, so we’re bringing it back for this Fall!  ~ Erica

Dr. Caitlin Welles, and Erica Chase-Salerno of Wyld Acres Healing Arts, announce a Mother’s Circle support group series, open to all mothers.

The four-part series will take place on Monday, September 20; Monday, October 18; Monday, November 15; and Monday, December 6; from 6:45pm-9pm, in New Paltz.  Cost for this series is $120.

Dr. Welles is a psychologist with a private practice in New Paltz.  Chase-Salerno does in-studio and distance energy healing, and prenatal communication work.  Both facilitators are mothers and committed to honoring the authentic along the parenting path.
“As long-time members of a Mother’s Circle ourselves, we want to introduce others to this unique gathering of nurture, trust, and support specifically for mothers, because supporting mothers can strengthen families,” explained Chase-Salerno.

“Our intention is to create a safe space to explore and process the challenging and ever-changing journey of imperfect motherhood.  Small groups like these can help mothers hold a larger view of what they’re experiencing, and to empower them as they move forward through the constant change of parenting,” added Welles.

About the facilitators:

Caitlin Welles, PsyD : Caitlin is a licensed psychologist with a doctorate from New York University.  Her therapeutic orientation draws on concepts of relational psychoanalysis, self-psychology, EMDR and Buddhist philosophy. Her primary focus is on integrating insight and affect to promote self-awareness and deep psychological change. Her maternal orientation draws on everything and the kitchen sink but is certainly sustained and supported by her own participation in a mother’s circle, several years running.  She loves sharing with her children that she’s going to her mother’s circle where she’s learning to be a better mom.  She is an imperfect mother evolving as mindfully as she can, continually striving to help create more joy, abundance and meaning in life for herself and others.  Caitlin enjoys living in New Paltz with her husband, daughter, son, and gentle old German Shepherd.

Erica Chase-Salerno: As the founder of Wyld Acres, Erica practices hands-on healing and distance energy work, as well as intuitive prenatal communication. Intrigued by the multi-dimensional love and experience of parenting from conception on, she co-facilitates a number of holistic pregnancy and mothering workshops.  Erica enjoys yoga, Pilates, playing viola, and co-moderating the regional parenting website HudsonValleyParents.com she owns with her husband, Michael.  They live an unschooling life with their son Declan, daughter Quinlan, along with some chickens in New Paltz, New York.
