Wyld Acres ~ Healing Through Wholeness
Erica Chase-Salerno, Energy Healing/Prenatal Communication
Don’t fight darkness. Bring the light, and the darkness will disappear. ~ Maharishi Mahesh Yogi
As I came down our driveway the other day, I was struck by the amount of sunlight streaming into the woods. I forgot how much light reaches our land this time of year after the forest sheds its fiery canopy.
I appreciated the gift of this awareness since I realized I’d been focused lately on how dark it is in the fall and didn’t remember how much more light does come through now. Since it’s dark when I wake up, and it’s dark before we eat dinner, I’ve been feeling cheated out of the day somehow.
But that driveway moment helped me shift away from this perspective of darkness and “lack.” I’m seeing more clearly the full range of light of these colder months and am now discovering, and savoring, this amazing contrast of autumn: the warm, free, abundant light that’s no longer limited by lush foliage; and the deep, rich darkness that descends so quickly after five o’clock. It feels right to honor both.
I’ve been applying this idea in my healing work and in various aspects of my life. Instead of fighting the darkness – focusing on lack and struggling against what is not and what I am not and what is not happening in a given moment, I am striving to hold it with light. I believe, I know, that light dwells there too, even if I can’t see it at the time. I have to consciously bring in light energy, offer myself as light, and remain awakened and present to what is and who I am and what is happening.
So what stands between my fighting the darkness and bringing in light?
Something presenting itself for healing, something ready to be released. Something creating an opening for more light in my life. Like those leaves.
What shifts are you experiencing right now? What is your dark? What is your light? What is presenting itself as ready to be shed, to enable more light?
Wyld Acres Updates
Here are some areas of light I want to share with you!
- November 2008 marks the first anniversary of Wyld Acres! Thank you! Thank you for helping me bridge several years of healing and prenatal communication experience into a practice that now extends into the larger community. It’s been an amazing year.
- Your testimonials make a difference! Your words tell your story better than I ever could. As my client-base and work continue to expand, primarily from word-of-mouth (thank you!), your experiences make a difference in helping people see how this work can be a supportive piece in their lives. Ideas to consider sharing include: what led you to the work; what shifted for you; and something about a session that moved you, either in the studio or afterwards. Please e-mail your testimonials to me at erica@wyldacres.com, and let me know how you would like to be listed on the website, etc. (full name, initials, anonymous, etc.).
- Wyld Acres now has gift certificates! Offering the gift of a series of healing appointments or even just one session is a unique, thoughtful gesture for holiday giving, baby showers, birthdays, milestone anniversaries, or “just because.” Gift certificates can be mailed or picked-up in person.
- We’ve got Skype! Distance healings now include the option to talk face-to-face during our work together. Skype is also great for those shorter in-between-sessions appointments. For more information, check out Skype.com.
